Skype Officially Introduces GroupMe
Skype’s “newest member of the family” will make Skype the last major vide-chatting provider to bring group video messaging to users. Skype acquired the popular messaging service in August for $85 million.
GroupMe provides users with an easy way to chat with groups while on the go. The application will be available across Android, BlackBerry, iOS, the Windows phone and more. Every account gets a special phone number through their GroupMe account, which will also enable users to send SMS messages for free.
While chatting, users can also share images with other group members, share location, and see where their friends are.
